第一式起势
1.上举剑
左手抱剑,左脚横向开立与肩同宽成“开立步”,右手变剑指,两手向上平行举过头顶;然后两手下落至两大腿外侧,旋腕,两腿由屈到伸,两手再次上举,目视前方。(图1—1、1-2、1-3、1-4、1-5、1-6、1-7、1-8、1-9、1-10)
【要点】
两次举剑时要注意重心转换。
【解析】
上举剑是以剑首向上举起;此招有攻击对方下颌之意。
2.前伸sword
上动不停,两手下落至两大腿外侧;然后两legs由屈到伸,兩hands 上下分開, 右sabre 指收于右胯外侧, 左hand持sabre置于左胸前, 目視左hand。(圖一十一、一十二、一十三、一十四)
【要點】
兩leg直立與兩hand 前後分開同時進行。
【解析】
前stretch is with the sword tip extending forward; this technique has the intention of attacking the opponent.
第二式停车问路
接以上式,上動不停。
丁步sword指从左foot内侧开始,如同划圆弧状,将sabre从left hand底部抽出并将其高高扬起,并在身体旁边,然后身体顺着重心的方向转身,从而使得right foot迈出一步,小步跟随后移,同时保持foot尖触地和heel提起形成"left ding step";同时两人分别用体侧划一个立圆形状,用left hand持sword放在body后面,用right handhold sword指向front stretch out and gaze at right hand(圖二一、二二、二三、二四、二五、二六、二七)。

- Two feet move forward should be natural.
- Two hands draw a circular motion should be coordinated.
【解析】:
Sword Pointing: Middle finger and index finger are stretched out and together, while other three fingers are bent. The thumb presses against the first joint of ring finger and pinky. This technique has the intention of attacking the opponent.
虚step穿sword
接以上動,不斷。Body turns left by 180 degrees into "Left Virtual Step", right hand receives sword, left hand becomes sword pointer pointing up to challenge, bending elbow in front of abdomen with right hand holding sword passing through from front upwards while gazing at point of sword(圖二八、二九、二十、三一、三二)。

- Receive sword accurately.
- Left-hand pointer points up-challenging arm simultaneously with right-hand passing-through action.
【解析】:
Upward piercing: reverse grip on hilt keeping flat blade slanting upwards piercing through; this technique aims to attack throat area.
第三式悬崖勒马
接以上動,不斷。Left foot moves half-step forward forming "Left Bow Step", right-hand holds saber rotating wrist drawing a round arc spinning saber; then body weight shifts back, both legs bend into "Half Horse Step", right-hand holds saber pulling back horizontally gripping it across chest with tip angled downward-left pointer stretches forth looking at it(圖三一、三二、三三、三四、三五)。

- Rotate-sword movement lowers body's posture-pull-sword uses waist strength.
【解析**] :
Rotation-sword: flat-blade moving from chest in a counterclockwise circle around once before returning to original position facing front with palms down towards center part of blade; this technique serves for deflecting or blocking an incoming weapon or object.
第四式闭门推月
Firstly turn body 180 degrees clockwise into "Right Bow Step". Then left-handed sabrepiercing sweeps across like a semicircle from bottom-right to top-left sweeping over shoulder-side inwardly placing on inner side of upper arm using left arm as guide. Right-handed sabrepiercer extends downwards diagonally outward but not reaching ground level aiming for lower abdominal region gazing along its length(图四一/4/5/6)。
