在翻阅那些古老的武术书籍时,我发现了一个有趣的练习——太极拳中的猫形步。这个动作不仅要求身体轻灵,而且需要腰胯的协调运动,这与日常走路方式大相径庭。我想起我的师傅们曾经教导我,猫形步是一种虚实并存的运动,需要通过腰胯带动四肢来实现。
首先,要理解的是猫行步法和我们平常走路之间的差别。在正常情况下,我们会先用前脚迈出,然后后脚跟上。但是,在太极拳中,“迈步如猫行”意味着不能这样做。名家郝少如先生指出:“不许后脚用力,要前脚实足站稳了,后脚提起慢慢移过去,而且后脚置前时,在重心未移过去时,还要不费力地能抽得回来。”这要求练者在移动过程中保持平衡和协调,同时注意到“刻刻留心在腰间”。
林墨根先生则强调:“太极拳中的猫形步体现腰胯带动四肢的虚实运动,要下苦功把猫形步练到位,虽费力辛苦,却能增长腰腿的松弹沉稳之劲。”这是因为cats' movement is different from ours. When a cat moves, it lifts all four legs off the ground except one, which remains in contact with the ground. Humans are not like that; we lift one leg and leave the other to support our body weight. This requires balance and coordination, especially when you need to "keep in mind at the waist."
The slow practice of cat form step is divided into five stages:
Start with your right foot forward and left foot backward (right bow stance). Relax your perineum (for forward movement) and right hip, while looking up front.
From right knee joint to ankle joint then to sole of the foot's yongquan acupoint, slowly move your right heel outward by 45 degrees until it touches down firmly on the ground along with your toes.
Then relax your left shoulder as you feel more stability in your right leg.
Next relax both sides of lower abdomen (iliac fossa), turn waist leftwards simultaneously directing qimen acupoint forward while slightly lifting upper part of head.
Finally gently move out my left foot while imagining being about to fall into deep water, gradually loosening each joint from hip down through knee ankle heel toe until only my little toe touches the floor first.
