一、力

在太极拳中，力是指体内的力量和能量，是技击运动中的根本要素。它分为直力、横力、虚力和实力的不同形式，其中直力的表现外露，而横力的秘密隐藏于内。未受过训练的人，使用的是拙劣的蛮力，这种力量缺乏灵活性和突然爆发的能力。而经过专门训练的太极拳家，则能够运用圆满实沉重的整体内劲，这是一种经过千锤百炼后形成的威力无比之劲。

二、功力

功力的概念源自自身原有力量，即本能。这三方面力量——大小、方向与作用点—are difficult to produce flexible changes, and their effectiveness in attack and defense is limited. To achieve the most ideal technique force and optimal impact effect, Tai Chi emphasizes the direction and point of application of power in real combat situations, while also emphasizing control over one's own body on a soft foundation. This internal energy can be released quickly or slowly, through various routes of movement, big or small actions with different angles. With this special force acquired through specialized training in martial arts skills, Tai Chi practitioners can harness inner energy to overcome external resistance with "softness defeating hardness" and "cleverness breaking a thousand pounds".

Three、Lignt Force

The source of light force is power; light refers to the coordination of strength over time and its use in motion. The concept of "light force" in push-hands practice refers to a kind of elastic ligth that is both flexible and concentrated, allowing for smooth motion.

Four、Relationship between Power, Skill & Technique

In Tai Chi push-hands competition, all techniques rely on both "power" (force)and "cunning". Although these two concepts seem contradictory at first glance but are actually interdependent; neither should be isolated from each other. Power represents innate ability which can be enhanced through practice but will always have varying effects due to individual physical conditions. Techniques are learned through practice alone; as long as one knows how to use science effectively during training they can achieve remarkable results.

Five Conclusion:

In conclusion: “Force relies on exercise” while “technique relies on practical experience.” Both aspects must coexist for mastery in martial arts skill development process
