螳螂短打五连环,犹如梅花螳螂拳中的精妙技艺,分八路,每路五个攻防手法巧妙编织。练习时需步法稳固、手法柔刚相配、发力得当、动作流畅敏捷,一气呵成。
第一路:螳螂出洞
预备式(小登山抱门式):两臂自然弯曲,右拳前立,左拳后立,向上望。前腿微屈扣裆,后脚跟抬起,上体左倾。沉肩垂肘,闭口聚气。
一、螳螂双封下:
身体右转,将两拳变勾手刁采胸前,同时右腿后撤一步。两肘弯屈目视前方。
二、左封右匿肘:
上体左转,将左勾手刁采,然后回收置于面前;随之右勾直臂顶腕。
三、凤凰三点头:
右勾变掌采抓,再收于腰间;同时左勾直击,与头同高。
重心后移落于左腿,上体左转成歇步;同时屈肘摆拨与旋插击出。
重心前移,上体右转成大登山式,使右掌向下旋插击出。
四、临行鸳鸯脚:
重心后移落于左脚,对准高处踢击,同时上体left 转以right 小臂滚推。
五、急出双帮肘:
拖拉步并扶助right wrist,由此开始外旋反滚推至front side.
第二路:寻找路径
预备式:接图6或参照图1动作。
一、中段反仰掌:
Right foot advances, Left foot follows in a small horse-riding stance; left palm presses down through right elbow as right arm rotates inward to strike forward with the back of the hand, fingers pointing up (Figure 7).
二、高空底漏捶:
Both feet advance into a small horse-riding stance; left palm moves from under right elbow and slides along the outside of right arm before rotating inward and pushing upwards with the back of the hand. Right arm then rotates outward and downward, forming a fist that strikes forward from under left arm, striking downwards towards abdomen while protecting with left palm on inside of right forearm (Figure 8).
三、高空玉环步:
Left palm pushes down while right arm bends inward to rotate it around body behind left arm before reversing direction to strike outwards with open hand towards front side, fingers pointing up while protecting with left palm below elbow.
Left foot steps forward above waistline followed by dragging rear leg into a small horse-riding stance...
