因为太极拳的力是从root发起,too much force is used from the whole body.
To do this, you must understand the importance of cultivating your root. All forces are in pairs, only with foot pushing down (action) and the rebound force from the ground (reaction) can we get our source of power. So when punching, we must solidify our roots and take root in the ground.
You also need to understand the route of too much force in Tai Chi boxing. According to "Punching Theory", "The power originates from your feet, operates through your legs, controls at your waist, takes shape on your fingers." This shows that the source of power is in your feet, while operating it depends on your waist as a pivot point for converting virtual and real forces during practice. Tai Chi boxing's starting point for sending energy along its path is: grounding by foot; then transferring energy up through waist; expanding hips; rotating; using abdominal support and chest-back coordination to deliver upper limb strength or transfer energy via hip joints and femurs into lower limbs.
(1) At foot
This means that first you have to step down onto solid ground before generating any power or initiating movement.
(2) Originating from leg
This indicates that leg muscles are most developed among all parts of the body.
(3) Controlling at waist
Waist serves as a central axis for converting virtual and real forces during practice.
During exercise, one should cultivate a habit where no matter how big or small an action may be, it starts with driving movements with one's waist (and also linked with Dan Tian).
(4) Taking shape on hand
Energy finally transmits to hands for display.
According to Punching Theory: "Its roots are in feet; originating from feet through legs via complete unity." Most practitioners believe that Tai Chi boxing should start training at hands-on level above their bodies which makes sense according to human logic but this method will make it difficult for learners quickly enter into Tai Chi Boxing world. In short,
we learn practicing Tai Chi Boxing should focus more on strengthening deep-rooted strength exercises.
Secondly,
during practice:
Key points
Practice regularly when practicing forms or pushing hands - always pay attention to stability of heels' solidity directions angles center-of-balance changes rotation axes around heel/heel tips), all clear so as maintain dynamic balance & stability.
Role in martial arts techniques
Once facing an opponent whether using any kind delivery methods always keep eyes fixed upon roots - observe opponent's ankles try breaking his/her foundation destroy own middle stabilize firmly unyielding
In conclusion,
when practicing punches/pushing-hands daily just remember cultivating rooting stabilizing/firm rooting/tightening – thus attain stable base against opponents which beginners must bear mind mindfully every day learning mastering these skills will gradually become part natural skillset mastered deeply rooted firmness becomes indomitable strength sturdy enough withstand challenges overcoming obstacles overcome hurdles rise challenges conquer barriers exceed limitations break boundaries push limits explore new horizons reach untapped potential tap inner resources unleash hidden powers unlock true potential transcend self-imposed constraints achieve mastery grasp mastery masterful performance exhibit excellence showcase prowess shine brightly stand out leave mark impress others inspire awe evoke admiration gain recognition earn respect achieve greatness realize dreams manifest success fulfill aspirations surpass expectations live legend create history forge legacy leave legacy behind
